Producing a replica of this beautiful rig that is small enough to take home, is a painstaking process. Over 18 months, each of the hundreds of intricately detailed parts are designed, cast or fabricated, painted, decorated, and trimmed...then organized in small bins, ready for assembly. There is no substitute for the laborious tasks that each of the 35 skilled men and women perform. It is a sight to see as each team member patiently adheres each part to another, consistently analyzing the end result. As you scroll down the assembly pictures, take notice of the parts on each workstation and you will gain a greater appreciation for the process. Handsome!

Posted by Chief Michael L. Kuk on 10th Aug 2021

When Chicago made the decision to purchase a series of new Pierce Aerials, I figured that was going to be a good move. The Pierce folks are known for building solid and dependable apparatus Without question, these rigs are all that and more. "Handsome" is the singular word that I would use to describe how these trucks look and perform. Truck 47 filled the apparatus doorway at the beautiful and historic "Painted Lady" northside quarters on the CFD. One had to be impressed when passing by the station, and seeing their new Pierce aerial on the apparatus apron. Fire Replicas has captured these modern trucks in their high standards of museum quality models! Another job well done!
