Assembly pictures of FDNY's 1980 American LaFrance Pumpers

Character, style and personalization epitomize the American LaFrance pumpers that served FDNY throughout the 1980's. Producing replicas of these beautiful rigs that are small enough to fit nicely on a shelf, has been a painstaking process. Over 18 months, each of the hundreds of intricately detailed parts are designed, cast or fabricated, painted, decorated, and trimmed...then organized in small bins, ready for assembly. There is no substitute for the laborious tasks that each of the 35 skilled men and women perform. It is a sight to see as each team member patiently adheres each part to another, consistently analyzing the end result. As you scroll down the assembly pictures, take notice of the parts on each workstation and you will gain a greater appreciation for the process. And don't forget to add these Classic FDNY pumpers to your collection.

Wow! Nicely done! I have been comparing this model for over 2 weeks to the pictures that I've seen of the real thing. It's a completely accurate replica. Again, I'm a real fussbudget & I've got a good eye for detail, too.

Great job. I have always like this pumper since I first saw the ad in Firehouse Magazine. I actually even have factory photos taken by Jack Greible the American LaFrance photographer. The detail of this model is fantastic and the color really pops.

It has been a long time coming! American LaFrance Century 1000 pumpers (FDNY Engine 65) are the best of the historical pumpers made to date, followed by the FDNY Mack R's. I purchased all five for my collection. These beautiful pumpers are detailed to the letter. Fire Replica went above and beyond on this one. I really like the yellow/lime trucks. I look forward to seeing more down the road.

Would love to see more "Vintage" FDNY rigs, i.e.: early 50's ALF 100' TDA, specialized units, Mack C-85
