Vintage Mack L's from the late 40's had beautiful lines and so much character. FDNY's open cab Macks were no exception. Producing a replica of this beautiful rig that is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, is a painstaking process. Over 18 months, each of the hundreds of intricately detailed parts are designed, cast or fabricated, painted, decorated, and trimmed...then organized in small bins, ready for assembly. There is no substitute for the laborious tasks that each of the 35 skilled men and women perform. It is a sight to see as each team member patiently adheres each part to another, consistently analyzing the end result. As you scroll down the assembly pictures, take notice of the parts on each workstation and you will gain a greater appreciation for the process. And don't forget to add this vintage FDNY pumper to your collection.

FDNY 1947 Mack L Pumper
The FDNY ordered twenty Mack L 750 gpm pumpers in 1947. This Fire Replicas' production of the classic '47 Mack L pumper captures every nuance of the original rig; from the spotlight positioned at the officer's side of the cab to the "subway straps" (a distinctive feature of FDNY engines of the era) located at the rear step. This model demonstrates the attention to detail that Fire Replicas is famous for. A "must-have" if you are a serious collector. Fire Replicas is filling a niche by producing models from a by-gone era and bringing history back to the inventory of fire engine collectors. Thank you for that!!!!!!!!

1947 Mack Pumper
The model was great but I have reservations about doing business with CHINA. I am not being political but realistic because we all know China is not our friend. I make every effort to avoid products produced in China and unfortunately Fire Rep falls in that category. I am most assured these models can be produced elsewhere even if it cost a little bit more. I am afraid I am a lost customer.
