Each of the hundreds of intricately detailed parts were designed, cast or fabricated, painted, decorated, and trimmed...then organized in small bins, ready for assembly. There is no substitute for the laborious tasks that each of the 35 skilled men and women perform. It is a sight to see as each team member patiently adheres each part to another, consistently analyzing the end result. This City of Los Angeles Fire Department Heavy Utility 6 scale model is a museum grade replica of the 1967 Crown Firecoach/Holmes 850 Heavy Utility. The replica features the specific department configuration and graphics, leaving no detail overlooked. The display case is custom manufactured with high quality acrylic and resin.     As we see the real one every now and then I can assure you its perfect in every way.

    When we opened this to put on display in the museum, Old Station 27 where it worked out of for some time, one of its original operators was on hand and he was amazed at how accurate the unit is.

    Simply beautiful to look at this nice model. The colour of the truck with red letters and numbers and black ropes is matching perfect. It is my first model of Los Angeles City, definetely not the last. Hoping to see a snorkel again ( LAFD Snorkel 3) by fire replicas.
