FDNY 1982 American LaFrance E82.
It's been 50 years since: "Report From Engine Co. 82" was published at the beginning of 1972. Now, along comes a model of a rig that was later assigned to that company. This model encompasses several of the updates that occurred in just 2 years, between 1980 & 1982. The updates include: the white roof over the enclosed: "mother-in-law" (crew cab), upgraded emergency lighting, a 2nd flap on the top of the Conestoga wagon cover, larger FDNY logos on the doors, & front bumpers that were not the standard ALF style. As well, the company number appears on the rear of the rig, under that hose bed on the officer's side. This is a really nice addition to my collection & a nice complement to the 2 Tower Ladder 31 models that I have purchased recently. Also, a nice complement to my other ALF models that served on the FDNY.
