Chicago's 85' Snorkel features true-to-scale parts that are individually designed, cast or fabricated, painted, decorated and assembled over the course of 14 months. From the MARS light beneath the windshield to the snow tires on the tandem rear axles, Snorkel 1 is authentic to Chicago's 1982 rig.

Chicago Fire Dept Snorkel No.1
Great model of rare truck type...Always been a huge fan of the Chicago Fire Dept. My Dad was a professional fire fighter in a suburb of Chicago, he even attended the Chicago Fire Academy for his initial training back in the '60s. Anyhow, excellent model. More vintage apparatus please...including FDNY Mack CF pumpers and Mack/Baker Aerialscopes from '70s and '80s.

WOW!!!WOW!! What a great model. Every detail of the actual rig has been authentically reproduced. Even the smallest component is meticulously Incorporated to exact scale. I have been collecting for 40 years and have not seen a replication of a firetruck so credibly accurate. A must have for every serious collector.

Amazing!
Far and away the most impressive model I've ever had in my collection. Fingers crossed that there will be Seagrave pumper to go with it and the rear mount at some point in the not-too-distant future.
