Engine 129 was originally organized at 5758 W. Grace in 1926. A year and a half later the rig was renumbered as Engine 96. In 1929 Engine 129 was reorganized along with Truck 50 at 8118 S. Ashland in Auburn Gresham on the far Southwest side. At the time Engine 129 was reorganized the CFD was running with the most Engine companies ever...129 of them. The Firehouse has been designated a landmark in 2003. 
 
The Mack MB is the first engine done for Engine 129. Fire Replicas has produced a replica of the 2011 Spartan rear mount of Truck 50.
