History of Engine 125 courtesy of Joe O'Brien -

Engine 125 was organized in 1917 in a two-story brick building built for motorized equipment. Engine 125's first rig was a two-horse drawn hose wagon. The station did not have a stable with a hay loft, however until 1922 they still ran with horses.  In fact, they loaned the horses one day to a local farmer who was plowing his fields, but at the time the 24th Battalion chief was not happy about that. The area was still largely prairie land and farms. The Galewood and Montclare area saw a large boom of single-family house starting in the 1940’s. Truck 53 would be organized with 125 in 1949.

This is the first Fire Replicas model of Engine 125; the station is known as the “Kings of the Hill”. Engine 129 would run with Flying Manpower Squad 5.
