History of Engine 108 courtesy of Joe O'Brien -

Engine 108 was organized in the new firehouse in 1906 with Truck 23 located in Jefferson Park on the Northwest side of Chicago. Over the years the station would see more apparatus assigned, Battalion 22 moved in this station in 1929, and Ambulance 7 was organized here in the late 40’s. This area still had a lot of prairies around, and at one point, two small booster rigs were in this house. 1956 Squad 11 was moved into the firehouse using a 1954 Autocar. This was also the first time an ambulance and Squad ran out of the same house. In the late 60’s Squad 11 was taken out of service and in 1971 Flying Squad 7 was organized here. As the rigs continued to get larger, the bay space was very tight. In 1981 the Engine, Truck, Battalion, and Ambulance moved to a new 4 bay station on Milwaukee Ave. south of Lawrence Ave.

Engine 108’s Mack B was produced by Fire Replicas as well as now the 1975 Mack MB, that replace the Mack B. Flying Manpower Squad 7’s Mack MB, which was in the station with both the Mack B and Mack MB has been done by Fire Replicas. Fire Replicas has produced two different E-One Tower ladder 23’s.
