The 1954 Autocar DC-100T is comprised of hundreds of intricately detailed parts. Stainless steel is the main material for all the fine details including window trim, antennas, mudflaps, various logos, grab bars, stirrup steps and much more. A team of 35 skilled craftsmen and women patiently trim, glue and assembly every component...some so small that a razor-sharp tweezers is required for handling. Syringes are used to apply a minute amount of glue behind each incredibly fine part. Patience, keen eyesight and a very steady hand are the tools of the trade in each hand-crafted Fire Replicas model. Enjoy your walk alongside the assembly lines of this vintage Autocar.
